North Vancouver Orthodontics - Seymour Dental offers Clearline Ortho Treatment

Blog by Dr. Gilbert Lee | July 18th, 2012

Dr. Lee and the Seymour Dental Centre in North Vancouver is pleased to offer our version of the Invisalign treatment called Clearline for our patients. For an appropriate candidate, it can be an alternative option to straighten slightly crooked teeth, rather than having full braces.

Dr. Lee is also providing full orthodontic treatment or braces for those patients who require a more involved treatment plan.

What is Clearline Ortho?

Clearline Ortho straightens teeth using a series of clear, plastic, removable Clearliners. Clearline Ortho is the next generation in Invisible Orthodontics.

How many clearliners are needed to straighten a patient's teeth?

The number of Clearliners will vary for each patient’s individual case based on the severity of the case and the desired goals for treatment.

How long does Clearline Ortho treatment take?

The length of time will vary for each case depending on the difficulty.

Overall, an average treatment takes between 8 and 10 months, and is made upof the following steps: You meet with a Clearline Ortho - trained dental professional for a consultation about your treatment.

Based on your dental professional treatment plan and your dental records, a digital treatment plan is generated that shows you the movement of your teeth from the current position to the desired final position.

Once you and your dental professional have approved the plan, the Clearliners are made to custom-fit your teeth, and your teeth only. The number of Clearliners varies for each patient.

You wear your Clearliners about 20-20 hours everyday, except to eat, brush, and floss, or for a specific occasion.

Every two weeks, you switch to a new set of Clearliners. The Clearliners will gradually move your teeth into their final prescribed position.
